Press Release Body = TechTown, Wayne State University, and Multicultural Business
Council (MBC) have teamed together for a Career Fair aimed at Michigan\'s highest
growth industries. The Technology and Emerging Sectors Career Fair will take place
on January 17 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the TechTown facility located at 440
Burroughs Street in Detroit.

Michigan\'s Department of Economic Development has identified four specific
high-growth industries to reshape Michigan\'s economy by diversifying beyond its
traditional automotive base. These industries include life sciences, alternative
energy, advanced manufacturing, and homeland security. The state has set aside more
than $2 billion to attract employers and retrain citizens for these industries.

This Career Fair is specifically timed to assist these growing industries in
recruiting students graduating from Wayne State University this spring and talented
workers transitioning from the downsizing automotive industry. In addition to
several TechTown employers, the Central Intelligence Agency and U.S. Army have
indicated they will use the Career Fair to fill job openings.

TechTown was established in a 12 block area of Detroit adjacent to Wayne State
University and the Detroit Medical Center. General Motors and the Henry Ford Health
System donated supplies and office space for the new venture. Today more than 30
technology companies have offices in TechTown.

The Career Fair will take place in TechTown\'s first-floor exhibit area. Job seekers
and employers will be able to use TechTown\'s wireless Internet as an added tool
during the event. The facility also offers free parking.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the event or securing a booth to recruit employees
should contact MBC at 248-802-6138 or via e-mail to info@mbcglobal.org. More
information is available at mbcglobal.org.
